   The motor check both ends of adjustmement seldom does lower unit just stop working unless you have hit something and done damage internally.

   either way it’s not a backyard job. take it to someone who knows their business.

   99% chance - you need a new controller - go to a local dealer, but one (like $100) and install yourself - it is pretty simple
