Family boat building contest - Ideas needed!!!!?

So I am thinking to join a competition of the construction of the boat Family this summer just to have some fun and I Need. I need some "edge" to make Boats. I was thinking something like: - must float, is mobile and Stear-able — You can not spend more than $ 20 (?) - Must keep an adult And a child   I need a sense "judge" the competion, Preferably several categories recommend that the function Fun. My experimental programme is to have left All know (as 6 weeks in advance), the whole rally on Saturday Launch and / race our boats. I want to use all the articles Standard family - I think. Share ask any ideas, history of success / failure to give me some Ideas. 10 points per answer, or the best story!
