Refinishing a boston whaler – can i just fibreglass or should i worry about a clearcoat?

boston whaler

pizzaguy asked: I recently purchased a whaler of 13'Boston, who was in Pretty rough figure. I removed all the crap (the kind that It possessed before me installassi things very unnecessary In the shell and have not used steel so it has entirely Rusty out). I filled all the holes by bolts of foam arrugginiti Expansion and I buffed all the areas in question. I was just planning to put some more layers of fiberglass Above each section in the sand and then vernicio the entire boat. But A friend said I should just clearcoat - like is that Still above what glassing. Suggestions? Thanks!
